Privacy Policy

VietnamGo helps visitors discover places, save recommendations, plan days, and get AI-assisted travel guidance in Vietnam. This policy explains what data the service processes and why.

Information you provide

• Account information: email address, display name, authentication records, and optional profile details.
• Trip information: travel dates, party type, interests, saved places, collections, itineraries, and itinerary status.
• AI requests: questions, recent conversation context, planning notes, and menu photos that you choose to scan.

Information processed automatically

VietnamGo may process an app-generated analytics identifier, session information, feature events, device/platform diagnostics, AI quota usage, and error status. Analytics collection is used only when the production analytics service is enabled.

Camera and photo library

Camera and photo-library access are optional and used only when you scan or choose a menu image. Images are resized on-device and sent for translation when you request a scan. VietnamGo does not use microphone access and does not store the submitted menu image in its application database.

How information is used

• Provide authentication, saved places, trip preferences, itineraries, and account synchronization.
• Return grounded place recommendations, menu translations, price context, and day plans.
• Enforce free-request limits and diagnose reliability or abuse.
• Improve product flows using limited event analytics when configured.

Service providers

VietnamGo uses Supabase for authentication, database, storage, and server functions; OpenAI for AI processing; Google Analytics for limited product events when enabled; and Apple or Google authentication providers when you choose those sign-in methods.

Data sharing and sale

VietnamGo does not sell personal information. Data is shared with service providers only as needed to operate requested features, secure the service, and measure reliability. Place images and public editorial catalog data are not linked to your account.

Retention and deletion

Account-linked data is kept while your account is active or as needed for security and legal obligations. You can permanently delete your account and its account-linked data inside the app: Profile → Delete account. You may also request help through the support page.

Security

VietnamGo uses authenticated connections, row-level database access controls, restricted server credentials, and encrypted transport. No system can guarantee absolute security, so please avoid submitting highly sensitive information in AI requests or photos.

Children

VietnamGo is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

International processing

Service providers may process data in countries other than your own. Their protections and contractual terms apply to that processing.

Changes

This policy may be updated as the product changes. The effective date above will be revised when material changes are published.
